Broken Horse records in Manchester will be releasing "Not Your Kind of Music: The Basement Tapes '95-'99" on July 30, 2012. It's a 2cd collection of 67 home recordings that I made when I was a teenager/in my early twenties. I wrote the accompanying 26pg booklet, which details the complete insanity surrounding my life at that time (with drawings!) Some of these songs have been previously released, but many have not. The collection includes the out-of-print vinyl albums "The Burdens of Genius" and "Minor Wave," as well as the long lost cassette-only albums "The Spiders are Getting Bigger" and "Haunting & Daunting." The title of this release pretty much says it all. This is Not Your Kind of Music. Unless, of course, you are completely insane--in which case then you might dig it!
